Facebook Bans Stop the Steal Occurred on 5 Nov 2020

Facebook removed a group named Stop The Steal that was formed to help organize efforts to prevent cheating in the 2020 US election. The group was less than two days old and had accumulated over 350k members.

Wow.

The group wasn’t even 24 hours old and had over 350K members.

The left is trying to steal an election and Social media is complicit.

This is outrageous!

A Facebook spokesperson gave the following statement to reporters activists:

In line with the exceptional measures that we are taking during this period of heightened tension, we have removed the Group ‘Stop the Steal,’ which was creating real-world events. The group was organized around the delegitimization of the election process, and we saw worrying calls for violence from some members of the group.

The group quickly moved over to Parler.
